Case Study: Unicor - Federal Bureau of Prisons

The Challenge

Re-design the existing UNICOR website and build a custom content management system to allow staff to easily work with all of the new features of the website.

The Solution

Partnering with Weinrich Advertising, we were hired to build all of the page structure (HTML and CSS) as well as a full-featured intranet for website administration purposes that included content and asset management.

The site contains hundreds of pages and documents all managed by UNICOR web division staff members. The site contains many front and back end features, including:

Dozens of administration features, including custom content management for tradeshows, schedule of products, public notices, board meeting minutes.
Custom search engine tracking program allows management to stay aware of search types performed, failed searches, and most-searched words and phrases.
Custom keyword search system allows management to give specific documents priority display in search results based on keywords and phrases.
Dynamic Forms System collects form data entered for further review by management and provides comprehensive data filters to allow granular tracking and display of specific data entered by site users and customers.

The Results

A totally redesigned website with new navigation and administration features that enable UNICOR to have granular control over site content, review customer feedback, and target delivery of content based on customer site browsing and search habits.
